Hi Everyone, 

April 23rd is observed as World Book Day in India and many countries. There will be several events and book fairs tomorrow and during the week. The importance of reading will be discussed by many. 

I would want you to think of that person who gave you your first book - did you get it on your birthday or was it from a teacher or a prize you won at a competition?

I cannot remember when and who gave me my first book but reading is something I picked up from my mother. My aunts always bought books for my brother and me on our birthdays and that's how the world of reading unfolded. 

So this World Book Day, thank the person who gave you your first book and share the joy of reading with someone else.
